Here’s my Heart potholder from a free sewing tutorial!
I have something to admit to you. I was so in love when Spoonful of Sugar Designs let me know about their new {Heart Potholder Tutorial}, that I made it that same day. Yup, I didn’t wait even a single day.
Since this potholder was going to be a gift for my sister, I decided to personalize it with some applique.
I actually cut the same letter out of two colors of felt because I wasn’t sure at first which color I wanted.
Once I had all my fabrics picked out I settled on the cream colored letter. I love how it looks against Valorie Wells’Â cocoon. Don’t substitute regular batting for the insul-brite if this is going to be used to handle hot items. It really works.
Isn’t that sweet quilting they have you do on the back? It was really easy.
In fact, the whole project is beautifully fast and easy. Perfect for a last minute hostess valentine gift!
Happy sewing,
