Cadie gets a new back pack from the Sewing Loft
My little Cadie is about to turn 4 and go to preschool this year, so I ordered her a new backpack from our darling sponsor Heather of the Sewing Loft. Heather is an amazing sewist and couldn’t believe I was lucky enough to catch this darling little backpack before it sold to someone else.
I love watching kids put on backpacks. I see her putting their arm in the wrong strap and try to tell her, but of course she won’t listen because she is sure that she is doing it right.
She gets the other arm in…
pulls the straps up to her shoulders…
and is good to go, he he.
Heather has thought of everything on this, from an easy to do magnetic snap, to the little loop for hanging in the pre-school hallway.
If you can’t catch a ready-made owl backpack in the shop, you can always get the pdf pattern and make one yourself, isn’t he cute?
There’s other things in Heather’s shop that I’m also dying to try, like her Sweet Child Zipper Pouch and Easter Bunny Sewing Patterns.
Maybe I’ll have time for all the projects on my list once Cadie really does head off to pre-school. But who am I kidding… the list just gets longer and longer.
Thanks for the sweet backpack Heather!
