Show Off Saturday and my Tea Blossom Tunic

Let’s talk about selfish sewing! With the hot weather upon us, I decided to make myself something cool and easy to wear.

And look what came in the mail… the Tea Blossom Tunic pattern from Monaluna Designs with some beautiful organic fabric for me (from the Haven Collection)!

Update: The Tea Blossom Tunic is no longer available on the Monaluna website. Iโ€™m not sure why, but the Patricia Tunic pattern from Sis Boom is similar and very cute.

By the way… I am still so happy with the little dress that I made for Cadie with fabric from Monaluna. After lots of washes (do your kids mix up clean clothes with the dirty ones?) it is still looking great.

The Tea Blossom Tunic has dolman sleeves which makes it so fast and easy to sew. I could have used the yellow dot fabric at the neckline and sleeve edges to make them contrast and stand out more, but I really loved that smaller tulip print (Little Garden) so that’s what I used.

I made a size L based on my bust size and it fit perfectly except it turned out too long. I’m only 5’4” and have to shorten everything so no surprise. I took about 4” off the hem and now I want to wear it every day.

So, what have you been sewing up this week? Did you make something with one of my free sewing tutorials or patterns? I would love to see! Tag me on Instagram @sewcanshe.

Happy Sewing!
