This was my first time to take a sewing themed cruise and while it wasn’t exactly what I expected, I had a fabulous time.
In this post I’ll share a brief review of how it was organized and what was included in the cost. This is for anyone thinking of taking a cruise with the Sew & Sail folks, since I don’t have experience with any other sewing cruises. Yet – hopefully in the future!

I have spent a wonderful weekend at Quilt Market in Houston, Texas, and now I get to tell you all about it – just like I promised! But it’s going to be difficult, there is so much to share.
I’m writing this post from my hotel room in Denver, Colorado – where I have had an amazing week! Yesterday I got the chance to visit Fancy Tiger Crafts and experience the most modern and fun quilt shop I have ever been in.
I’m back!!! I spent a fabulous weekend in Houston a few days ago and came back relaxed, refreshed, and inspired to sew. What did that? Quilt Market! In case you’ve not heard about it yet, Quilt Market is a bi-annual trade show for anyone involved in the quilt industry.
I’m home! My quilt market fun is over for 2014. On Saturday I blogged about all the fun things Sarah and I did on day 1 – Friday, and now is my chance to show a few more of the fun things we did, a few of the inspiring sights, and giveaway a bag of quilt market swag!
If I had to pick my favorite picture from today… this is it. It’s me enjoying a bundle of new Kokka quilting cottons that I got at Quilt Market sample spree. But let me back up a little bit… it was a loooong day.
The quilt above is a beautiful work by Kaffe Fasset from the gallery part of Quilt Market. That part was quiet and meditative, almost like church. I loved it.
