Does your  ironing board  look like this?

Arrow

Let me teach you how to make a new one.

You will need:

– 2 yards of fabric for the cover – a fat quarter of fabric for the pockets – 2 yards of insulbright insulated batting (you could use 100% cotton quilt batting instead, but it wouldn’t reflect the heat back up) – 1 zipper 13’’ long for the zipper pocket – 1 small plastic buckle (see above) – 1/2 yd elastic to fit the buckle slot (see above) – 4 yards extra wide double fold bias tape (2’’ wide unfolded – see above) – fabric marking pen – quilt basting spray (such as SpraynBond), optional – 4 yards of 1/16’’ drapery cording (see above) – a bodkin (recommended) or medium sized safety pin

There are simple cutting instructions.

Let me teach you how to get this snug fit.

The best part is that it has pockets to hold all the little things you need when ironing.

I have added this elastic buckle to keep the cover from slipping.
