I like 2” wide waist and neck ties (on the first two aprons above), but some of you like 1” wide ties (like on the third apron above). So to give you the option, I’m putting cutting dimensions for the skinny ties in parentheses.

– Three coordinating fabrics – Fabric for the back (I used unbleached muslin) – Thread – Free apron cutting template

you’ll need:

Your main fabric is the one that will be down the center of the apron (called the center apron strip), on the waist ties, and on the tong loop. From this cut: – 1 apron strip 33” x 7” – 2 waist tie strips 33” x 5” (33” x 3” for skinny ties) – 1 tong loop strip 10” x 4”

Cutting instructions:

Coordinating fabric #1 will be on the apron strips next to your main fabric and on your neck ties. From this cut: – 2 apron strips 33” x 7” – 2 neck tie strips 18” x 5” (18” x 3” for skinny ties)

Coordinating fabric #2 will be on the outermost apron strips. From this cut: – 2 apron strips 33” x 7”
