Sewing a twin sized quilt with Friendship Star Blocks
Here is the twin sized quilt that I sewed with huge friendship star blocks and romantic floral fabrics designed by Anna Griffin. Sewing a quilt with such large blocks means that you get done faster and can enjoy the quilt sooner!
There are twelve 18” Friendship Star blocks on this quilt. I love how the darker ones contrast and the lighter one’s don’t. so you have to look closely. I quilted the layers together with easy straight line quilting with my walking foot. That’s my go to quick quilt finish! I shared more about quilting this big quilt here.
If you want to make a friendship star quilt too, here’s my easy tutorial for the classic friendship star block. I shared how to sew large 18’’ blocks like in my twin sized quilt, as well as traditional 12’’ blocks.
