Today I’m bringing you my review of the Madelyn Shirt pdf pattern by Violette Field Threads. When I offered to review a pattern for them, I didn’t specify any particular pattern… doing this often makes me sew something that I wouldn’t otherwise pick. I must admit that I probably wouldn’t have chosen this particular pattern, but now I’m so glad I’ve made it. I love this little outfit I made Cadie.

The Madelyn Shirt is a sweet sleeveless top that is completely lined. I made it with medium weight knit fabrics and the end result is a very high quality top.

There are adorable buttons on the back, but you don’t have to make buttonholes!

And that sweet little collar is probably the easiest one I’ve ever made!

I honestly can’t decide which I like better… the front or the back. Which do you like most?

And those adorable wooden buttons? We’ve got some in the SEWCANSHE Shop.
