7 Equilateral Triangle Quilts to Inspire! {plus a pillow}

Equilateral triangles are awesome! Equal length sides, equal angles, and yet so many ways to put them together, they could never be boring! I think this shape was invented to be put on a quilt. ๐Ÿ™‚

Here are some of my favorite equilateral triangle quilt projects that I’ve seen. If they’ve come from a blog post I’ll link to it so you can learn more. The pillow comes from one of my sweet friends in the SewCanShe Sewcialites facebook group.

This triangle quilt from Cintia of My Poppet is the one that made me fall head over heels in love with triangle quilts. She’s to blame for my obsession!!!

Make this Mod Triangle Baby Quilt from the Cloth Parcel. I โ€˜m loving the colors and the beautiful quilting!

Lorna of Sew Fresh Quilts designed this Fox and Friends triangle quilt. I think I was a little inspired by it when I put together my mini doggie quilt…

Over at The Craft Patch, Jennifer uses solids also to make this beautiful baby quilt fast with big triangles.

If you are really looking to make it fast, ‘fake’ a triangle quilt in a flash with this lovely triangle fabric from See Kate Sew. She says her quilt can be sewn in an hour.

Talk about modern… Equilateral triangles can be abstract too if you think like Mollie of Mollie Sparkles.

And in our facebook group Sam arranged her triangles into hexis and appliqued them onto a quilted pillow. Love it.

Feel inspired to try a triangle quilt? Don’t be fooled into thinking you need a special ruler. A regular quilting ruler and rotary cutter will do fine. Read my tips and tricks here and give it a go!
