At my daughter Chloe’s high school (can you believe my baby started high school???), the lunch lines are so long that she has been skipping lunch! She’s always starving by the time she gets home because she doesn’t want to carry a big lunch bag as well as her heavy backpack – poor girl!
I am so in love with the beautiful look of simple patchwork quilts with lots of squares. This is the perfect way to use up fabric scraps like I did, or you can make a beautifully coordinated quilt with pre-cut 2 1/2’’ square fabric pieces that come in mini-charm packs.
I’m also in love with the process. If you feel like quilt making is your escape from the world and sitting down to sew for a few hours makes your troubles fade away… this is the quilt for you!
Sew an easy beautiful apron with this free sewing pattern that only uses one yard of fabric! Whether you are sewing for yourself or for a friend, an apron always comes in handy and makes a great gift. This blog post includes a link to a free template that I digitized for you.

I’m so excited about this new book that I get to review. Virginia Lindsay of Gingercake has given away all her secrets… this is seriously the most practical and beautiful book about running a sewing related business that I’ve ever seen. Sewing to Sell is an instant classic.
It was so much fun to see what everybody was good at… some people had talents that I already knew about and some people totally surprised me. I wanted to participate, but I couldn’t think of any way to show off my one talent (sewing).
You can sew warm and fuzzy mittens using an old sweater! Use this free mitten pattern with a step by step sewing tutorial to create lots of mittens out of nothing – well out of last year’s too small sweaters. 🙂
Learn how to sew an oven mitt with my free oven mitt sewing pattern! This quilted oven mitt makes a thoughtful gift for someone who loves to cook or someone (like me) who tends to get burned when they use…
A lot of gorgeous fabrics! Great box 😍
The animals that look like raccoons are Red Pandas.
As to your question, those are Red Pandas. Not racoons or lemures….even though they are called Red Pandas they are not actually a bear, as is a regular Panda.
The Hot cocoa would be great pillow cases !! dreams of chocolate on a cool winter night… I know my grand daughters would love them.
Love, love, love the Christmas collection! heading to website now to check it out!
