I love visiting quilt shops! Local quilt shops provide a secret getaway for me to enjoy when I can get away from the business of life. I love being able to browse beautiful fabric in person and let me imagination run wild with ideas of new projects I would like to sew. Inspiration always flows:) Here is a fun collection of quilt shops I have visited and that you might enjoy too.

While visiting a good friend in NYC, I challenged her to a $100 Quilt Shop Challenge at the famous Gotham Quilts in midtown Manhattan! Check it out here…

I found a fabric store while vacationing in St Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands! I was so excited…come see:)

I got the chance to visit Fancy Tiger Crafts in Denver, Colorado. This was the most modern and fun quilt shop I have ever been in!

If you can believe it, there’s an incredible fabric store on the Island of Nassau in the Bahamas! I discovered it on a vacation I took with my husband…I was so excited!

Quilt and Lace is a quilt shop that I like to visit right here in my hometown! They make me feel like a VIP every time I visit or call. But really, I think they treat everyone that way. I can call ahead to see if they have certain fabrics available, and they will even cut it and have it ready to pick up at my convenience! It just doesn’t get much better than that.

Cinnamon’s Quilt Shoppe is another of my favorites. I go there when I am visiting Jacksonville, FL with my sister, we just can’t stay away!

I’ve ordered from Gardensong Fabrics so many times that I feel I have been there even though I havent. Hopefully someday I’ll be near Brookhaven Mississsippi so I can stop by!

There are so many things you can do to spread the love around for local quilters and quilt shops. Here are a few ideas:

Attend a local quilt show! I did and had a fabulous time, come see.

Take the family with you to the quilt shop! Why not start them early:)
