Show Off Saturday: the Easy Peasy Drawstring Backpack… with a pocket!

I don’t think it matters how many I make… It’s always fun to make another Easy Peasy Drawstring Backpack.

When I first wrote the tutorial for this bag, I really wanted to keep it simple and create a drawstring backpack that you could make with nothing but fabric.

But a zippered pocket makes it so much better, don’t you think?

Cadie tried it on, and she approves!

The long zipper opens up to a huge pocket that will hold so much.

Now it’s easy to keep smaller things (or bigger things) separate from everything in the main compartment.

I didn’t want to make the bag overly bulky, so I designed this roomy pocket by only adding the zipper and one extra lining piece to the bag.

The extra step for a Zippered Drawstring Backpack takes just a few minutes, and then the bag is sewn together just like my Easy Peasy Drawstring Backpack.

Do you want a tutorial? Well I’m going to assume that you do, and write it up as soon as I can!

xoxo,
