Free Wild Poppy Flower Table Runner Applique Pattern
Sew a beautiful table runner with a my free Wild Poppy Applique design. My sketch book has been filling up with flowers lately, and this wild poppy made it onto a table topper with match stick quilting. Do you want to make one?
Guess what! Now I also have a mini version of this flower applique pattern.

Using HeatnBond lite fusible web, cut out design in desired fabrics. Cut out two of each of the flower parts and one circle. Fuse to a 12” x 35” piece of backing fabric as shown. I stitched my applique to the backing before the quilting step.
Layer the small quilt top, batting, and backing and quilt as desired. I stitched around my applique design and then used my free-motion foot to quilt vertical lines approximately 1/8-1/4” apart.
You will need approximately 3 yards of binding to finish this table topper. Learn my favorite quilt binding technique here.
More ideas: the wild poppy applique design would also be perfect for a quilt block (only one poppy). Or you could repeat the double-flower design for a long bed runner or quilt border. Be sure to link up to one of my Show Off Saturday posts if you make one!
Happy sewing!
