My No Bake Jolly Bar Quilt – free pattern from Fat Quarter Shop!
Don’t you just love the free Shortcut Quilt patterns? They make quiltmaking fast and easy! This particular pattern is called the No Bake Jolly Bar Quilt and it’s made with a fabric pre-cut that’s available only at Fat Quarter Shop, the Jolly Bar.
It’s a diagonal chevron pattern sewn with big chunky patchwork squares – so jolly! I adore all of Kate Spain’s designs, so I picked Jolly Bars from her holiday collection Jingle.
If you can see it in the pictures, I added this fun new product to my quilt called ChenilleIt. It’s a loosely woven 3/8” bias tape that I sewed down the edges of the chevrons. After I washed the quilt, the ChenilleIt frayed and created lines of faux chenille. It makes my quilt so soft and much more snuggly!
