Sewing Pattern and Video Class Review: Sew Sturdy: Home Organizers

|

Let me show you another one of my favorite sewing patterns from ByAnnie… and this one is available as a Craftsy online video class!

Have you had a chance to check out Sew Sturdy: Home Organizers with Annie Unrein?

Not by chance I’m sure, Annie is the inventor of ByAnnies flexible foam stabilizer, which is the secret ingredient for sewing baskets, organizers, and tote bags that look amazing.

Like all Craftsy classes, this one is well organized, fun to watch, and contains ample class materials to make every project a success. I stitched up these three baskets and lids in one day!

To be truthful, I did cut all of my fabric and stabilizer the night before. I was so grateful for the little tags that Annie included in the materials. The tags are a label for each piece you cut that include the dimensions too. In the morning when I started sewing all of my pieces were ready and organized.

And I was so pleased to find that the one step I was looking forward to the least – sewing the basket bottoms and sides together – was easy and quick.

Faster than I ever expected, I had three beautiful baskets! The fabric I used is called Seafarer – it’s a fabric collection from Anna Griffin. I love her designs.

The other project in this class is this adorable Catch-All Caddy. I can’t wait to make it. Would someone please give me another few hours in the day so I can sew it up?

Don’t miss your chance to get Sew Sturdy: Home Organizers while Craftsy is still having a huge sale!

Happy sewing!
