My cute project for the Spoonful of Sugar Blog Tour
Have you seen Lisa Cox’s new book ‘A Spoonful of Sugar‘ yet? It’s full of adorable projects that I can’t wait to make!
This darling mixer applique reminded me of my daughter Chloe who loves to cook and bake… I’m so glad someone in our family does!
And something she has been wanting for a while is her own apron… so that’s what I made her.
I used my free Father’s Day Apron tutorial but instead of sewing long vertical strips together to make the apron front, I just used a 31” x 33” rectangle of fabric. It was perfect for Lisa’s applique.
And the perfect early birthday present for my Mother’s day baby. Yup, she was born on Mother’s day and her birthday falls on Mother’s day again this year. I love it so much when that happens!
A Spoonful of Sugar is full of beautiful little things to make… it’s one of those sewing books that’s lovely just to pick up and read. My favorite part was going through my stash and scraps finding new fabric combinations inspired by Lisa’s projects.
Lisa would love for you to join her for an Instagram Sew Along from June 1 – August 9.
