There is progress in my new new upstairs sewing studio! This week we removed the carpet and started prepping the sub-floor for bamboo. It hasn’t arrived yet, so it was the perfect time to paint!
Last Saturday I showed you the two colors of paint that I was considering for the walls.
Someone asked what the specific colors were, and they came from a paint chip that I picked up at one of the big box home stores a couple weeks ago. However, I can’t tell you which kind of paint is best. I carried this paint chip around in my purse and when I finally bought paint I asked the paint guy at the other big box home store to match the colors. I love how they can match any color.
So, even though I didn’t buy this particular brand of paint, the two wall colors I was thinking about were Skater’s Pond 72BG (top color) and Palest Morning Blue 70BG (bottom color), both from Glidden.
I ended up going with the top color on the chip for the walls.
I was so excited to get started, the same night I bought paint I stayed up late painting the baseboards the cool white that’s in the middle of the paint chip above (Crystal Clear White 50BG).
And then in the morning I rounded up my minions to help me paint the walls. They paint like minions too so it’s a good thing I don’t take painting as seriously as I do sewing!
We got the room about half painted. I LOVE the cool blue-gray. It feels so energizing.
I’m crossing my fingers that the bamboo arrives soon. I want this room finished!
