Easy Double Diamond 12″ Quilt Block

I really enjoy using the Double Diamond when I have a cute repeatable fabric design. I can fussy cut around the medallion or picture, and then it fits right into the block like it was meant to be there! Here is my tutorial for the Double Diamond quit block. I show you how to hack your ruler for fussy cutting, and then we make the other cuts and sew it all together.

Diamond in a Square Quilt Pattern

This quilt finishes at 50″ x 58″. It’s similar to the Double Diamond block, but in this case you sew rows of diamonds in a square together instead of a block of four diamonds at a time. I love this arrangement of diamonds and contrasting prints. Here is my free quilt pattern for sewing a cozy lap quilt.
