Free Girly Fox Applique Pattern

Sew my free girly fox applique pattern on your next tote bag, pillow, tee shirt, or quilt block! I used felt to applique this design on denim, but any fabrics will work.

 

This free applique design is a fox, but she is definitely a girl. She likes to hide in the grass and watch the silly boy fox jump over rocks and things. There is also a sweet and simple tree and a lovely matryoshka. I also have a mini version of this fox applique pattern too.

I’ve sewn some recent applique designs into pillows and one into a wall hanging, so this one I decided to put on a tote bag. It’s just a basic tote bag but I’ll still post the tutorial one of these days in case you want to try it.

I used HeatnBond Lite to trace and fuse the design to my tote bag fabric in wool blend felt. Then I sewed it on with a simple straight stitch.

Then I hand embroidered the eyes and nose with a satin stitch.

The grass is just little strips of felt that I cut and sewed on one at a time.
