One thing I always keep in my van is water. I have a case of water in my trunk for emergencies and non-emergencies. If you are all in and looking for a luxury organizer, try out this incredible Miracle Caddy, complete with sturdy handles and outside pockets all the way around. You will have a place for everything you need while you travel with this DIY car organization project.

Pro Tip

If you’re sewing a console caddy or a trunk organizer, the last thing you want is your project sliding across the seat every time you hit the brakes.
To keep things in place, use non-slip shelf liner or dotted grip fabric as your base layer.
If you’re in a pinch, a few lines of puffy fabric paint on the bottom of your project will create a “rubberized” grip once dry.

Sew a few of these shopping bags using this free pattern. You will thank yourself when you head to Aldi, end up with wet clothes or muddy shoes, or decide to run dinner to a friend.
