Creating a peaceful place to work, play, and relax is much easier when every item has its own home. And the greatest secret to getting organized is waiting at your sewing machine. Many of these home organization ideas are excellent scrap-friendly projects, making it easy to turn your fabric leftovers into useful DIY storage bins and aesthetic organizers. Fabric Storage Categories

Because a collection of 75 patterns is quite large, I have organized these projects into categories to help you find exactly what you need for your home. These DIY organization patterns are some of my favorite ways to combine functionality with beautiful fabric, and I think you will find them incredibly useful for your own space.

Pro-Tip: Adding Visibility with Vinyl

Adding a clear vinyl window to your project is a game-changer. It allows you to see exactly what is inside without opening the bag, which is especially helpful for kits you don’t use every day. When sewing larger organizers, the base of the bin often needs extra support to prevent sagging. Cut a piece of heavy-duty cardboard or a thin plastic cutting mat to fit the bottom of the bin.
